After weeks and weeks in lockdown, many of us are missing our normal routines and the simplicity of being able to visit our friends and family, have a meal out or a drink in a beer garden on a sunny evening. If you live in Hertfordshire, here are five things you could consider doing once lockdown ends.

  1. Afternoon Tea

When lockdown ends, why not treat yourself to one of our Afternoon Tea packages? After all, Who doesn’t love a tasty selection of finger sandwiches, cakes and homemade scones? In fact, you don’t actually have to wait until lockdown is over, as we have takeaway options on selected days.

  1. The Theatre

If you’re into live entertainment, such as plays and comedians, you could consider taking a trip to Watford’s Palace Theatre. They do still have planned events  for the rest of the year so have a look on their website and see if there’s something that takes your fancy. They even host children’s events if your kids are in need of some entertainment!

  1. Hitchin Lavender

Since the weather is starting to brighten up, you might want to spend some time outdoors at the lavender farm in Hitchin. Here you will see some beautiful views of rural Hertfordshire and you’ll even get the chance to pick your own flowers. It’s a great day out for adults and children alike.

  1. Royston Cave

Not many people actually know this, but Royston is actually home to an underground historic cave which was discovered by accident. It’s usually open in the summer during the warmer months and a very interesting, education day out. Hopefully we’ll all have a chance to pay it a visit before it starts to get cold again.

  1. Hatfield House

The park, gardens and woodland walks at Hatfield House are reopening on the 20th of June. This is a great way to soak in the sunshine, the scenery and spend some time with your loved ones in the great outdoors.
