For many families, Easter is a great opportunity to get together; the kids are off school, the adults have a couple of days off work, it’s a great time to spend some quality time with one another. If you live in (or near) Hertfordshire, there are plenty of fun things you can do on Easter weekend. Here’s our round-up:

1.     Easter Trail

If you have children, an Easter trail is a great, fun-filled activity you can take part in, and there are plenty across Hertfordshire. Knebworth House, for instance, always host a popular trail in their park and gardens. The Ashridge Estate near Berkhamsted also holds a fantastic annual Cadbury egg trail through the winding woods.

2.     Paradise Wildlife Park

For something less traditional, but still fun for the whole family, you could head to Broxbourne to the Paradise Wildlife Park.  It’s easy to access via the A10 and M25, and if you book online you can save 10% on the bill.

3.     The Theatre

On the Saturday (20th April), you could attend Hertford Theatre to watch the Vienna Festival Ballet production of Coppélia, which has been highly popular in the past and suitable for all ages. The music is beautiful and the costumes are bright and colourful; the ballet is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon over Easter weekend.

4.     Afternoon Tea

Easter weekend should always be spent indulging, and what better way to do so than with a tasty afternoon tea experience? There are lots of different packages available here at The Enchanted Tea Rooms, depending on whether you want a glass of champagne or prosecco, or one of our many flavours of tea.
